📌The Volunteer, Project Support and Events Management will be involved in supporting the day-to-day operations of key regional projects, initiatives, and events coordinated by the Europe Support Centre. They will assist project managers with everyday tasks and provide ideas to the team. They will be exposed to a variety of funding operations, including European Union grants, funding applications for members, and reporting processes. This position involves a good deal of interaction with volunteers across our National Scout Organizations. Moreover, it will enable the volunteer to experience event management first-hand by attending events and assisting project managers in their fieldwork.
❗The volunteer will participate in various projects led by the Europe Support Centre, with a particular focus on the Region's strategic priorities. Events to support will be identified based on emerging needs, and support will be provided to project managers and planning teams in the logistics and delivery of flagship events of the Region, including👇
👉The Agora: a youth empowerment event led by Rovers, for Rovers.
👉The Academy: a capacity-building training for youth workers in various themes.
👉Study visits from other Scout organisations to Belgium.
👉Network meetings and youth exchanges.
❗The volunteer will play a key role in enabling the creation of new local projects that advance the values of the European Solidarity Corps and Scouting. Our organisation is implementing the World Scouting Grants, which enable youth organisations involved in Scouting to apply for and implement local/national projects that promote solidarity and aim to create a culture of peace.
🗓️Expected start date: As of late February / early March 2026
❗Duration: 12 months - the duration of the placement can be negotiated depending on the availability of the candidate
